THE ROLE

We are looking for a bright and passionate Consultant with strong experience working in sustainability, to join our growing team at Robertsbridge Stonehaven. As an experienced consultant and sustainability professional, you will be excited by delivering positive change for clients. We welcome applications from candidates who have consultancy or in-house experience.

In your role, you will work with cross-sector clients to define sustainability strategies; deliver, communicate and implement sustainability programmes; and lead on strategic stakeholder engagement and mediation.

Our consultants take ownership of the day-to-day running of smaller, key workstreams with support from senior colleagues and delegating to the more junior colleagues. They should have a strong understanding of how their work fits into the wider account needs and should feed into strategic thinking where possible. Consultants are expected to master facilitation skills by conducting stakeholder interviews and providing breakout facilitation at client workshops.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strong project management skills and good understanding of how to deliver projects effectively
• Owning end-to-end deliverables, leading workstreams with minimal support from project lead
• In some instances, day-to-day project lead on small projects
• Providing strategic recommendations to support senior colleagues with decision-making
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Able to deliver high quality client work and present in front of clients
• Supporting senior colleagues with new business opportunities
• Ability to effectively communicate business and its values to clients and prospects
• Building own network with clients, prospects and wider stakeholders

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Knowledge of and interest in sustainability, either through previous work experience or university degree
• Track record in developing sustainability strategies and campaigns for cross-sector clients
• Knowledge of sustainability regulations, including EUDR and responsible sourcing certification standards, is desirable.
• Aware of general sustainability trends and keeps abreast of the latest developments in sustainability
• Having prior consultancy experience is desirable
• Having prior experience in the agribusiness and/or mining sector is desirable
• Able to work efficiently on multiple projects to deadlines
• Able to deliver high standard of work with senior support and direction
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
